<p>PCMS Consulting today announced its Camp REinvent™ Summer Webinar Series. <strong>The company will be hosting ten free, 30 minute webinars focused on real estate broker reinvention through internet marketing and recruiting efforts.</strong></p>
<p>“Our original Camp REinvent™ was a hit!” states Jose Perez, President of PCMS Consulting. “What we hope to accomplish this time around is to drive more brokers and managers to the program by making it shorter and much less of a time commitment. If someone wants to engage us on a deeper level, they can do so on an ‘a la carte’ basis based on their specific needs.”</p>
<p><strong>Camp REinvent™ was conceived as a way to expose real estate brokerages to a variety of relevant topics that help them bring change and innovation to their companies and markets. </strong>Each 30 minute session contains ideas that are designed to spur serious conversation among brokers and their management teams to make a concerted effort to reinvent the way they operate, communicate with clients, and recruit the “agent of the future”.</p>
<p>LP Finn, Vice President of Coach Realtors, an 18 office brokerage in Long Island, NY participated in the original Camp REinvent™ from June to December 2009. “Our team really embraced the concepts that were presented in Camp REinvent and it caused us to introduce various new programs that have helped us become more profitable as well as recruit new agents into our company.”</p>

<p><strong>In its continued quest to offer innovative solutions to the brokerage community, PCMS Consulting today announced two new technology partnerships within its Internet Services Group.</strong> The company has signed strategic marketing agreements with 1CAVO of Denver, CO and Digital Docs.net of Orlando, FL.</p>
<p>1CAVO provides an outsourced internet lead management solution which combines lead management software with a call center that guarantees calls on internet inquiries within 15 minutes, 7 days a week. Founder, Bradley Miller, notes some disturbing statistics that is making this service very attractive to brokerages who believe they are missing revenue opportunities as a result of the fact that:</p>

<li>48% of internet leads are not responded to (California Association of Realtors);</li>
<li>7% of internet consumers are not ready to buy within 30 days but remain interested in more information (California Association of Realtors); and,</li>
<li>52% of internet consumers expect a response within one hour (California Association of Realtors).</li>

<p>Boulder, Colorado &#8211; Boulder-based real estate agent Matt Kolb lost a deal in 2006 when a client bypassed him and found a private seller while riding a rented bicycle around town. Though he missed out on the sale, the loss sparked a stellar business idea: Leading clients on bicycle tours of neighborhoods as a hook to engage and sell.<br />
By June of 2009, Kolb&#8217;s brainchild, Pedal to Properties, was operating out of a small service office in Boulder with four agents. Kolb knew the business had great potential as the depressed real estate market, stale infrastructure of national brands, and rising environmental awareness left the perfect microcosm for a fresh real estate concept to emerge; but he lacked the capital to take it to the next level. He also knew that he had created the ideal blend for a hot business model today: <strong>A health conscience-focus, in that business owners/bike enthusiasts are attracted to healthiness of the brand; green-conscience, in that there is an environmentally-friendly component to the business; and an easily marketable business model that can be added to an existing business to add buzz, support and stronger infrastructure to it.</strong></p>
<p>That recipe proved to be the solution to the lack of capital when one of his clients, Tim Majors, an Australian entrepreneur, expressed an interest in the company, Kolb jumped at the opportunity to get Pedal to Properties the cash infusion it needed.</p>
<p>&#8220;I thought I was moving to the States to retire,&#8221; says Majors, &#8220;but I saw something unique in this business that I couldn&#8217;t pass up.&#8221;</p>
<p>Though this is his first venture into real estate, Majors knows a thing or two about growth opportunities. He took his last business, Wooldridges, an educational product retailer, from one location with annual revenues of $5 million to 20 locations with sales of $60 million in less than a decade, then sold it to a private equity firm in 2007.<br />
In July of 2009, Majors took a 50 percent stake in Pedal to Properties and began implementing plans for growth, starting with a new corporate headquarters. Later that summer, the company moved to a 2,800 square-foot location in downtown Boulder with plenty of space for bikes out front. By April 2010, it housed 25 agents with room to add another 15 by year&#8217;s end.</p>
<p>&#8220;We put bikes with our logos in local hotels for guests to rent, free of charge. All they have to do is fill out a waiver with their name and address, which we can then use to follow up with them, answer any questions, and hopefully implement future relationships,&#8221; says Majors, discussing a key marketing strategy they have put in place.<br />
The re-invention of Pedal to Properties didn&#8217;t stop there. Through the Fall of 2009, Majors worked with Jose Perez, president of real estate consultancy PCMS and former senior vice president of franchise sales at Realogy, parent company to Century 21, Coldwell Banker, and Sotheby&#8217;s Real Estate. Together they created a franchise infrastructure and Web presence that would blow competitors out of the water. In a few short months, Pedal to Properties was registered for franchise sales in 36 states and will be fully registered in all 50 states by summer 2010. The first two locations were sold in Northampton, Mass. and Sonoma, Calif., thus demonstrating the brand&#8217;s coast-to-coast appeal.<br />
&#8220;Our Northampton franchisee, Craig Della Penna, just happens to be a biking enthusiast and local real estate agent,&#8221; says Majors. <strong>&#8220;That&#8217;s the kind of franchisee we&#8217;re looking for: boutique agents in urban or vacation towns looking to differentiate themselves from the antiquated stereotype of real estate sales,&#8221; adds Perez.</strong></p>
<p>With an affordable business model and a quick rate of success already in motion, including two franchises already on board, Majors says he expects to reach 20 by end of year 2010. To prepare for that anticipated expansion, Pedal to Properties invested heavily in franchisee support programs, including a Web 2.0 and social media platform fit for an agency 80 times its size.</p>
<p>&#8220;We convinced Terabitz, a Silicon Valley-based real estate website and database builder for firms with as many as 2,000 agents, to help us create a next-generation Web platform and social media tool that will both attract new franchise and support rapid growth,&#8221; says Perez.</p>
<p><strong>In addition to its Web platform, Pedal to Properties offers franchisees six months of agent recruitment training by PCMS, teaching them how to corral the best talent in their local markets.</strong></p>
<p>&#8220;There are several trends that are coming together in our favor, making this the perfect time for a brand like Pedal to Properties to succeed,&#8221; says Majors. &#8220;Americans are more concerned than ever about the environment and their health; they&#8217;re resonating back to urban living where bikes are an increasingly popular form of transportation; and they&#8217;re looking for housing bargains. It&#8217;s the perfect storm for us.&#8221;</p>

<p><strong>Atlanta, GA (January 11, 2010) – PCMS Consulting today announced the successful completion of its inaugural coaching program designed to show brokerages how to reinvent themselves, their management, and their agents. </strong>The inaugural Camp REinvent? began in July 2009 and “graduated” 40 brokers, managers, and marketing directors in mid-December putting the group on the path towards reinvention and inspiring innovation and change at one of the most critical moments in the real estate industry.<br />
Patrick Fortin, President of CENTURY 21 Commonwealth, one of the largest CENTURY 21 franchisees in the U.S., enrolled himself and six members of his management team. “We knew the world was changing around us and that we could no longer continue to do business the same way. When we learned about a relatively inexpensive way to address multiple issues offered by the proven industry leaders of PCMS Consulting, we felt we had very little downside. The program paid for itself many times over.”<br />
“Campers” attended weekly group coaching calls covering topics such as how to reinvent themselves as management, how to create a presence on social media, how to create a true Web 2.0 website, and how to recruit the agent of the future. Sessions also tackled financial issues such as profiting in a “trough” and succession plans as well as several company specific coaching sessions with PCMS leadership to discuss the implementation of concepts that were being presented at each session.<br />
<strong>“Our goal was to help brokers and their management teams internalize the need for change and to accept the fact everything is interconnected in this new real estate brokerage paradigm.” </strong>states Jose Perez, President of PCMS Consulting. “The agent of the future will not have a lot of interest in working for your company if you and your management are not ‘hip’, if you don’t understand Web 2.0, and if you are still operating like you were as recently as even three years ago.”<br />
Another participant, LP Finn of Coach Realtors, a well established multi-office brokerage in Long Island, NY had this to say about his team’s experience, “The instructors took the time to carefully plan each session giving the participants (‘Campers’) a wealth of information without any wasted time or old/re-packaged ideas. What I liked most about the ‘camp’ idea was the use of technology to create an innovative and effective forum. <p><strong>Atlanta, GA (August 31, 2009)</strong> – Due to overwhelming interest in the topic of reinvention and the need for real estate brokerages to seriously address seismic market shifts, PCMS Consulting today announced the launch of it its second Camp REinvent coaching program. PCMS’ business development team is currently accepting reservations for a program which is set to begin on October 1st.</p>
<p>The inaugural Camp REinvent registered over 40 participants and began on July 9th. Topics covered in the first eight weeks of the program have included reinvention of the real estate broker and his/her management team, how to create an engaging web 2.0 presence and website, how to create a social media strategy, search engine optimization tips, integrated technology strategies, how to set up, recruit to, and operate a café style office, and the first of four sessions on recruiting the agent of the future. The first program will run through mid-December.</p>
<p>According to PCMS President, Jose Perez, “Camp REinvent is designed to get real estate brokers and managers to accept the fact that change starts with them and that in today’s environment everything is tied to everything else. How can you expect your agents to change if you don’t?” As one example, Perez points to brokers who are promoting social media to their agents yet don’t have a LinkedIn or Facebook page. He adds, “You have to walk the walk!”</p>
<p>LP Finn, Director of Corporate Services for Coach Realtors, a 15 office brokerage based in Northport, NY, said, “I am extremely impressed with knowledge and expertise of the instructors within the camp.  The instructors have taken the time to carefully plan each session, giving the ‘Campers’ a wealth of information without any wasted time or old/re-packaged ideas.”</p>
